William J. Gradishar, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Director of Breast Oncology at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Gradishar received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois, Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine, Chicago. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and his chief medical residency at Michael Reese Hospital, Chicago. He performed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Gradishar is Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners (Parts I, II, III), American Board of Internal Medicine, and American Board of Internal Medicine (Medical Oncology). He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology, and American Society of Breast Disease.
Dr. Gradishar has written numerous articles, chapters, books, and abstracts, featured in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and Clinical Breast Cancer, among others.
