Aman U. Buzdar, MD, FACP, is Professor of Medicine in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology, Division of Cancer Medicine at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Buzdar's clinical interests include breast cancer treatment and clinical trials in breast cancer. Additionally, his research interests entail defining and improving the short- and long-term benefits of systemic adjuvant therapies for breast cancer; endocrine therapies; and biologic therapies.
Dr. Buzdar received his FSc degree from Government Emerson College and his medical degree from Nishtar Medical both in Multan, Pakistan. He performed both his senior residency in Medicine and first year Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut.
Dr. Buzdar is Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Medical Oncology. He has been listed in America's Top Doctors, Medical Oncology, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd from 2002-2008. Dr. Buzdar received the 2006 Irwin H. Krakoff Award for Excellence in Clinical Research from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has numerous publications featured in various journals, abstracts, book chapters, manuals, and teaching aids. Dr. Buzdar is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Cancer, and on the Editorial Board of Clinical Cancer Research.
