Targeted Therapies for Breast Cancer and Practical Patient Management Strategies
Therapeutic options for patients with breast cancer have evolved with the increasing understanding of the cellular and molecular pathways involved in survival and proliferation of breast cancer cells. Recent advances with targeted or biological therapies provide the basis for more individualized management of breast cancer patients. An understanding of the molecular basis for targeted therapies, as well as the safety and efficacy of these treatments are essential for the integration of these therapeutic options into the clinical care of patients with breast cancer.
NEEDS STATEMENT/TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended to provide oncologists and other healthcare professionals with the latest information on targeted therapies for breast cancer and practical patient management strategies.
